On a gorgeous June day, Isabelle and Mike celebrated their love with their friends and families along the coast of Lake Michigan. The bright and luxe affair featured coastal touches within the details. Underneath a tall tent with open sides, loved ones gathered around tables designed with careful attention to detail, as a feeling of beachy romance billowed in the air with the lakeside winds.
Connolly House Events perfectly executed this shore-side slice of heaven alongside many other fabulous vendors to make this dream come to life. Castle Park in Holland was the perfect place for such a beautiful celebration, and the space was dressed up with dreamy florals by The Flower House, as well as rentals from Special Occasions, Events by iCandy, and Gigi and LaClede. Jillian Bowes, with her visionary eye for beauty, captured this special day on camera.
Delicately matching the lake were blue decor details, such as vintage place settings and blue and white floral arrangements. At each place setting, there was a wicker charger plate under a blue and white vintage plate. These place settings accentuated the feeling of beachy luxury, as do the blue and white flowers, which mimicked the Lake Michigan waves. At each table was a bottle of champagne, chilling in an Events by iCandy vintage wine bucket, ready to be popped for celebration.
At Special Occasions, we were so lucky to have been a part of such a special and stunning event. Our white panama linens dressed auxiliary tables, such as the cake and dessert table, which featured the sweetest treats from Cakabakery. Our timeless and popular blue fiori linen accented the lake-side vibe as it adorned cocktail tables. Each guest table wore a white sheer crush chiffon overlay on top of white polyester. This overlay added an organic touch of texture to each table, while also creating a chic and timeless look. White hemstitch napkins rounded out the table's aesthetic, as a wave of stark white cascaded down each place setting.
The combination of elegant timelessness and coastal serenity played out perfectly with close attention to details. This once-in-a-lifetime day was full of romantic and dreamy wedding vibes, while simultaneously embracing the lake-side charm. This wedding design perfectly embodied a sense of love and tranquility to celebrate the beautiful and happy newlyweds.
